I Invite You to Join Me on My Journey

My name is Kathy Kunda. I am a certified business and life coach. I’m starting a blog so my friends and future friends can grow and follow my growth. (I won’t pretend I’m not still growing myself)

As I’m winding my evening down tonight I started thinking of my typical day.

Monday through Friday I get up before the sun. I make one or two cups of coffee before work then off I go. All day long I work hard. Sometimes I can stop for lunch; other times I can’t. By the end of the day I’m exhausted.

I’ve promised to eat healthier this year and that means I make most meals at home or at least one of us does. During dinner we talk about work that day and plan for work the next day. Sometimes I put my lunch together in order to gain 5 more minutes of cuddle time.

By the end of the evening I’m exhausted. I’m often resentful too. I resent the fact that it’s already past 8:00 and I haven’t done one thing for myself. But I’m too tired to read and it’s too dark to walk the dogs so I turn on a Netflix. At least it’s not TV right? Each day it begins again. Each day that is until FRIDAY! Hallelujah it’s Friday!

TGIF – Let the weekend begin! On Friday we treat ourselves to a nice dinner. We are celebrating that we don’t have to cook. We don’t have to do dishes.. and we’re playing a little hookie from the dogs. We try and try to stay up late, just because its Friday and we feel we owe ourselves some time. But 10:30 rolls around – no I’m not joking, and we can barely keep our eyes open.

Saturday though we are back at it but we stay in bed until almost 7:00 and we feel a little guilty and a lot mischievous about it. We spend about 30% of our time fixing the yard so in case we ever decide to throw a barbecue we’re ready, 30% of our time doing entertainment style events, and 40% running errands.

On Sunday we are gearing up for Monday again. We make lunches. We do laundry. We do the heavier of the house work and so on…

All this leads me to my main point which is – What is the Point? There’s got to be a better way and I’m going to find it. I invite you to join me on my journey.
